King of the Jingle is where music, songwriting and marketing come together to help businesses become more memorable.
I’m Michael “Howie Bounce” Harwood. I’ve been writing songs since high school, and music has been part of my life for decades.
Over the years, I’ve studied music, written songs, performed professionally, toured, DJ’d around the world and worked across the music and entertainment industry.
My performing career included time in the Australian boy band Pop Boys during the late 1990s and early 2000s.
That period gave me the chance to perform on major concert and touring bills supporting artists including James Brown, Destiny’s Child, Montell Jordan, Az Yet, Real McCoy and Human Nature.
I’ve also spent years working as a DJ, including performing internationally.
Music was only one side of the story.
I also built a career in business and marketing.
An early business mentor helped me understand the fundamentals of how businesses attract customers, create value and improve profitability.
I later worked as a digital marketing consultant for one of Australia’s largest Google advertising agencies.
In 2008, I began diving deeply into online marketing. I invested in courses, training and high-level mentorship, and I’ve kept learning ever since.
More recently, I completed diplomas in music business and music composition.
That mix of songwriting, performance, music, business and marketing is what led to King of the Jingle.
A good business jingle needs more than a catchy tune.
It needs to understand what makes the business different.
It needs to understand what customers care about.
It needs to work as part of the business’s marketing.
And it needs to give people something they can actually remember.
That is where my background comes together.
Songwriting helps shape the words and hooks.
Music creates the feeling and energy.
Marketing keeps the message focused on the customer.
Business experience helps make sure the idea has a reason to exist.
King of the Jingle creates custom jingles, brand songs and business soundtracks built around real businesses.
They can be used across advertising, websites, social media, videos and other marketing.
For me, the goal is simple.
Give your business a sound people remember.
Because when people remember the sound, there’s a better chance they’ll remember the business behind it.
